The world is a spectacularly, unfairly biased towards morning people. I suspect that is because they got up first and had it all organised that way before anyone else was out of bed.

Since my last deck beautification effort came out so well, I thought I'd carry on. The stairs leading down to the yard were just as weathered as the railings had been:

So I sanded them:

and re-stained them:

using the full complement of sanding equipment I've acquired. Even with belt sanders and such, I find that a sanding disk on the end of the drill is still the best all-around sanding tool. It does a good job and can get to areas that no other sander can.

Next year (unless I get ambitious this fall) I'll redo the rest of the deck part of the deck.

Be nice to be able to do this to oneself. Looking a little worn? Just sand things down a little and refinish. Heh.
