When I think "What is my positive impact on the world?", I realize that Microsoft is this giant lever that you can do something that immediately affects a huge swath of the world. That really floats my boat.

Here's something that's making the rounds today at work: Money Magazine's "Best Jobs in America" list. Top job: software engineer.

What grabbed our attention was technical writer (#13) and and editor (#19).

Per the magazine, the criteria include, among others: pay (duh); projected growth; stress level; creativity; and job flexibility.

Nice to know that one has what's considered to be a good job.
