Tomás and his kids live in a compound of two houses and a separate apartment in a nice area of Mexico City called Guadalupe Inn. Most everyone lives close by Tante Waltraut lives a few blocks away as do Margot and her family, who live around the corner from where my grandparents lived 60 years ago. We usually stay in the "kids' house," but because there was a problem with the natural gas supply (thus no hot water or cooking) and because of the forthcoming nuptials, we stayed at Margot's house instead.
